About Us

The mission of Penobscot Indian Nation Enterprises (PINE) is to operate long-term profitable businesses and to engage in financing sound business ventures and enterprises that maximizes a return on investment to stimulate and diversify the economy to provide increased income to our Nation and to offer career opportunities for tribal citizens.

Our People

We are indigenous to the Penobscot River watershed. We are part of the Wabanaki Confederacy, including the Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, and Passamaquoddy, and have resided for over 10,000 years in the regions now located within the boundaries of the State of Maine.
