About the Corporation:
Headquartered in Indian Island, ME, PINE is a Federally-chartered §17 Corporation authorized under the 1934 Indian Reorganization Act. Carrying the rights and privileges of the Penobscot Indian Nation, PINE develops and oversees, as a Holding company, a portfolio of subsidiaries developed to compete in Federal, State Government and Commercial markets. PINE also oversees other duly assigned economic development projects all geared towards creating revenues, profits for the tribe and employment opportunities for Penobscot citizens. Established in 2005, PINE saw its first decade reap many successes and benefits, and challenges as any other similar corporation in the noted markets. PINE will continue to strive to reach its goals and objectives under its set mission.
